GROW DETROIT'S YOUNG TALENT

For Donors

Donors to the Grow Detroit's Young Talent campaign are making work experiences possible for Detroit youth by supporting the infrastructure and creating incentives for employers to take on young workers. For every $1,500 donated to the campaign, one Detroit youth is able to participate in a six week summer work experience with a local employer. Some of the services that donated funds make possible include:
  • Recruitment of youth participants and employment partners
  • Orientation of youth and employers to the program and its expectations
  • Subsidy of wages for some youth to encourage employer participation
  • Dissemination of career preparation and life skills support materials for youth
  • Technical support for youth and employers to ensure youth work experiences are of value to youth and employers

Donations to the campaign may be tax-deductible and can be made in any amount. There are three ways to make a donation to the campaign:

  • Visit the website for campaign manager City Connect Detroit and make an electronic donation using the safe and secure electronic payment processor PayPal.
